My little Addy turned 2!!

It seems like it was just yesterday when we decided to turn our home office into Addyson's bedroom. I remember right after I finished painting I took a step back and the only think that came to my mind was, "PINK??". Growing up with five brothers. I'm not even sure if we had one thing in the house that was "pink". Now I have a 10 x 12 foot room that had three walls all "pink". I honestly think I had a little nervous break down right then and there wondering how in the world am I going to raise a daughter. I don't know anything about little baby girls.

It was August 26th at 2:10 pm when all my fears went away...ok....not all of them but the one about being a girl did. All I knew was I was holding this small, beautiful, little miracle in my hands and I was so proud. I loved you with all my heart and as long as you were healthy I knew everything was going to be ok plus I knew I had Kristi to help me when it came to issues that I might have no idea about.

Here is Addy just a couple days old!!

Addy is only 2 but she has grown into her own little person. She is so caring, independent, funny, and we can't forget shy. When I sit down an watch her from a far I see a lot of Kristi and a lot of myself in everything she does. It amazes me how fast she can bring a smile to my face or how fast she can turn a bad day into a great one. She is truly a blessing and a gift.

It will only be a matter of time before she is off and running with her friends and I will wonder where did all the time go but until then I'm going to enjoy these years. I know down the road I still won't have all the answers especially when it comes to the "girls stuff" but we will work through it, even if you or Kristi have to explain it to me 5 times. I want you to know I will always be there for you and remember no matter what you do or how old you are you will always be my little girl!!

We do have pictures of Addy's birthday party and many other events that we have been doing over the last couple weeks. I just felt that it was important to post something on her special day and I hope to post the other events very soon.
