Merry Christmas!

As I write this, I sit here at work on Christmas day thinking to myself that I should probably be mad that I'm not at home with my family but I am actually Thankful. I'm thankful because this morning as a family we woke up and celebrated our first of many Christmas together. We had the opportunity to sit down an open gifts, I got the chance to see the priceless look on Addy's face when she opened each gift with a smile and would simply look at us an say, "Open". It's crazy because I also think to myself that in the past two months at work we covered 7 cop shootings. Five of them fatal, one holding on for dear life with the help of life support, and one recovering with a shot through the neck and I think to myself about how hard it must be for those families not to have their love ones to celebrate this special time of year. I think there are many things in life that I take for granted so for this Christmas I am not going to do that and even though I am at work I will be able to go home to a family that LOVES each other and cares for each other and with that what else could you ask for.
