Veagas

Day 21

(THIS IS AN OLD ONE BUT STILL A GOOD ONE) For our 5 year Anniversary Kristi and I decided to go to the place that yells romance!! VEGAS!! This was my first time to Sin City and I would like to tell you about it but like they say. "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!" I'm just kidding!! We didn't find a Tiger in our bathroom or Mike Tyson was never in our room but we did have a good time. Here we are taking a little stroll down the strip.

I don't think this needs any explanation. It's Brooke, Kristi, and a NAKED David! Not Brooke's David, A statue that I call David. Not that I would know anything about Brooke's David's nakedness but I do know about the statue David's nakedness because he's standing right in front of us....naked!! I hope you got all that!
The great thing about this trip was that Tim and Joe were able to drive up from LA and Brooke and David were also able to fly in the day after us to join in all the fun.
At first I was telling myself, "Ya...Lets go to Vegas because it will be cheap!" Not the case. It seems like the whole time your there your eating, drinking, or playing slots! It's a lot of fun but it isn't cheep! The only thing that saved us is Kristi winning around $400.00 on Wheel of Fortune during our stay.
Tim and Joe took us to this cool pub called, The Yard House They didn't have any mixed margaritas like Fat Tuesdays but they did have a lot of beers on tap in fact they had like 150 different types of beer just on tap and great food!

One side of the table.
Now a picture of the good looking side of the table.
FAT TUESDAYS!! This was the drink of choice for us during the entire trip. I think no matter where we walked to or what we did we needed to make a a quick stop at Fat Tuesdays to get a refill. I love the fact that you can just walk around with drinks!! I know rookie comment!!

One of the biggest selling points of going to Vegas was that we got tickets to the Garth Brook's concert at the Wynn. The first day they went on sell Tim, Kristi, and Joe spent a whole Saturday morning on the computer and phone trying to get them. After we got them Tim had to jump through hoops to keep them because they screwed up many times but in the end we were able to go and it was a lot of fun. Here we are right before heading to the show.

Kristi and I got to Vegas a little before everyone else so we decided to make a run over to the Bellagio to watch the fountain. I really don't think you can go wrong walking down and watching a water show if you need to waste some time.

Here is the gang in front of the Vegas sign. I think it's mandatory that you take this picture when you come to Vegas or at least your first trip anyway!!
Nothing beats a man holding raw meat in a lion/tiger den. Kristi and I happen to be walking through the MGM when they were feeding a couple of the Lions and Tigers. I'm telling you right now, "They couldn't pay me enough money to get my butt into a feeding pen with those guys!" I don't care what they did to try and convince me there would be now way I would do it. My reply would simply be, "Roy Horn!!" (From Siegfried and Roy) Are you serious, His hand is on the Lions mouth!

It was cool to watch though! They would throw these meat chunks right on the window and they would come around and lick it off.

I've decided this is how I am going to feed the twins from now on!! Starting tomorrow I'm going to take a bowl of Mac-N-Cheese and just throw it at our window and say, "COME AND GET IT!!"

Kristi and I also stopped by the M&M shop to get the kids some gifts. Addy was the only one that got candy. She loves the orange M&M's so we just got those but I have to say they cost an arm and a leg. It was like $8.30 a lb!! OUCH!! Kristi and I thought man for that price we could go to Costco buy a 25lb bag for $5.00 and pick out all the orange ones!!
I am glad to report that Kristi and I didn't eat any....ok....maybe just a couple but I promise that almost all of them made it back to Addy!!

All you bloggers out there will notice that this picture is also on the front of Brooke's blog....well...not this picture but a picture of her and David at this tree. I was going to copy her and put it as our main photo so when people logged onto our blog they would see the same thing but I never did.

AHH....Look at the Central Wildcat's!! I think this should go on CWU's Alumni website!!

Of course we were not going to get out of Vegas without Brooke playing the Sex and the City slot machine. We also had to stop over at the Paris Eiffel Tower and get her one of those drinks that I guess was in the movie. I am sad to report that she was disappointed in it!!

Kristi and I with the fish. I've always wanted a big aquarium in my house. Of course not this big of one but I would love one that is built right into the wall and filled with tropical fish. I don't want to clean it, I just want to have it.

Alright...I think I'm over it now!! We of course got a chance to watch the Vikings game while we were there. We were surprised because Joe and Tim were going to take off in the morning but they actually stayed and watched the whole game with us before they hit the road and headed back to LA.

One thing I found very interesting on watching the game in Vegas is that most of the people watching the games are watching it because of the bets they made. (ANOTHER ROOKIE COMMENT) The guy I was sitting next was rooting for the Vikes in the first quarter but then switched over to the Saints in the second quarter because of the bet he made. He was like my friend then all of a sudden he became my enemy. I also would like to add that Vikes fans out numbered the Saints fans by at least 6-1. It was nice to see the Purple Pride represent in Vegas.

WOW!! It's already been 5 years!! What a ride and I honestly say, "I wouldn't of wanted to spend the time with anyone else." Love Ya Honey!!

Um, 2 things: you can see my bra in one of the pictures. I will remember to never wear a black bra with a very low-cut blue shirt. At least I was in Vegas.

Also, don't try to pretend like you haven't seen David's privates!
